The Arnold Bennett Prize is an annual literary award which was instituted in 2017 as part of the Arnold Bennett 150th anniversary celebrations.  £500 is awarded to an author who lives or work in North Staffordshire and has published a book in the relevant year, or to the author of a book which features the region.

Previous winners include Charlotte Higgins for Red Thread (2018);

Entries for books published with ISBN in 2019 are invited until 31st January 2020.

Entries may be posted or hand delivered to: Jenny Amphlett, Arnold Bennett Literary Award, The Sentinel, Sentinel House, Bethesda Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, ST1 3GN.

 

The Prize for 2019 will be presented at the Society’s Annual Conference, 13th June 2020 in Stoke-on-Trent.
